Skeillebank Ltd · We fix business headaches

What's giving your business a headache?

Slow systems, spreadsheets that run the business, software you pay for but only half use. Tell us what isn't running as well as it could, and we'll give you a straight answer on how to fix it, and whether you're paying more than you need to.

Common headaches

Sound familiar?

These are the kinds of problems we fix. Most don't need expensive new software.

“Reports take all morning.”

Usually a slow database, not slow people. Often fixed without changing anything your team uses.

“The system crawls every month-end.”

We find the bottleneck, whether that's queries, indexes or jobs blocking each other, and remove it.

“We pay for tools that don't talk to each other.”

Connect them so data is entered once, or replace several with one that actually fits.

“Only one person understands the spreadsheet.”

Turn it into a simple app the whole team can use, that doesn't break when someone sorts the wrong column.

“Card fees eat into every sale.”

Bank-to-bank payments by QR code can cost less than cards for many small businesses.

“Are we overpaying for software?”

We look at what you pay for and what you actually use, and tell you honestly what you could drop.

Who is behind Skeillebank

Ivar Myrum Hagen, founder

Skeillebank is run by Ivar Myrum Hagen, a database and .NET developer with more than 20 years of experience building and tuning SQL Server systems for fund administration, retail marketing and gaming.

That work has meant making slow systems fast, moving data safely between systems that were never meant to talk to each other, and turning old code into something a team can keep working on. EntryCode, ShiftSense, BokaPay and iKveld are built on the same foundations: C#, .NET and SQL Server, on Azure.

Ivar trained as an engineer (BEng in Automation, Kongsberg College of Engineering) and is a certified Professional Scrum Master.

skeillebank SKAY-luh-bank · noun · dialect from Vågåmo, Norway

A pounding headache, the kind you feel with every heartbeat.

Common causes: slow queries, deadlocks, spreadsheets doing an app's job, “is there an app for this?” and “what am I looking at?”
